Description of Activities
Purpose
To develop skills in case-based, self-directed learning (and teaching),
literature retrieval, critical assessment, and medical writing and contribute
to an innovative national program which integrates education, clinical
care and research in HIV pharmacotherapy.
Overview
The general focus of the activities will be to help develop and update
material for the HIV pharmacotherapy website (http://hiv.buffalo.edu).
The projects will ALL be largely "independent" and somewhat self-directed
with periodic meetings to discuss issues/progress/problems.
All projects will be focused on HIV, although many other non-HIV issues
are presented and you can focus to some degree on your particular areas
of interest.
There is some opportunity for direct patient contact, although this
cannot be guaranteed in all cases.
